I got to be a part of the most special wedding last weekend.  My longtime friend and neighbor married the man of her dreams!  Jenny is like a sister to me in every way and I’ve called her my “mini me” for as long as I can remember.  She and Andrew were married in the beautiful Union Hill Grange in Sublimity, Oregon.  The ceremony was a 1920’s theme with gold accents and vintage decor.  Here are a few hints of what took place at this gorgeous wedding.  Cheers!

I always get a shot of the bride’s shoes under her dress!  It’s just a must-have for me at a wedding.  Shoes are a small detail that don’t often get seen but are often a bride’s “something borrowed” or “something blue”.  Jenny’s sparkly heels fit her personality and her dress to a T and I loved them against the old hardwood floor of the Union Hill Grange.

The buttons and detailing on Jenny’s dress were so vintage and perfect.  Her gown definitely fit the 1920’s glamorous theme!

Instead of flowers, the flower girls threw out gold sequins and feathers!  They tossed them from Jenny’s “something blue”…little blue lanterns.  This was probably my favorite touch from her wedding; so unique!

I’m a sucker for chandeliers and this large vintage chandelier hangs right in the middle of the Grange Hall.  It was a gorgeous centerpiece for the wedding decor.

I snapped this photo of Jenny’s brother-in-law Kris and his daughter Gwen dancing during the daddy-daughter dance.  It was so precious watching her climb onto his toes and be whisked around the dance floor.

At any wedding, one of my favorite moments is when the father gives his daughter away.  This wedding was especially touching for me as I watched Jenny’s parents join hands in prayer just after her father handed her away.
