Albany, Oregon Architecture Shoot
Ok so let me start off by saying, I LOVE THIS JOB. I love exploring homes, I love seeing which finishes owners pick, and how they decorate. It’s cliche but I really do think that our homes say a lot about us. This shoot last Friday was a dream because the owner let me in on all of his choices down to the outlets and the sky lights and I LOVED IT. So I’m passing on his info to you because who knows? Maybe you’re in love with these things as much as I am.
Let’s start with that gorgeous master bath and that shower you just can’t ignore: he told me that glass took 8 hours to install but OMG do I think it was worth it. If you think it’s stunning in photos, let me just tell you it was even prettier in person. His wife also requested a soaking tub which I think is the perfect modern design but still has the comfy slope on the back for long soaks as well as the shower wand which makes me jealous every time I see one because cleaning my bathtub without one is A CHORE. He also told me they plan on creating a small garden hedge area outside the bathtub window to allow full sun and maximum privacy…a secret garden basically. Cue my envy. The extra cabinet on top of the counter was also an addition to house all the ugly things you don’t want out on your counter and of course, it’s got built in outlets.
In the kitchen, he’s got all the bells and whistles too. The stunning french door oven is just the beginning. The range hood was something I’d never seen before…the lights and fan turn on automatically when you pull it out and turn off when you push it in…so cool! There is also a beautiful wine fridge and lots and lots of counter space and storage. Basically the perfect kitchen.
There’s a spot in the laundry room to sit and take off muddy shoes, as well as room to fit an upright freezer. And don't even get me started on the garages…three car spaces and a designated RV garage with perfectly placed skylights so that you can actually see the sides of the RV while the garage door is down. Oh and did I mention that the side door perfectly aligns with the door to the RV? He literally thought of everything…and I told him that about 4,000 times 😂
